Stalemate In Battle
With
no success thus far on our multiple bets, we were hoping for a turn of fortune but, once again, we drew a frustrating blank on all fronts.
We were looking likely to get out of a hole with an overall scratch over all weekends bets, with both Borussia M’gladbach and FC Twente scoring early first half goals to enable profitable trading exits. But Stoke and Arsenal let us down with a goalless stalemate at the Britannia Stadium. This now brings our record to 6/7 in LTD selections.
Overall a very disappointing weekends betting and trading and we move on to the next round of battle. We will stay with our long-term strategy and stats for match selection as we have to be patient. This may merely be the bottom of an upward curve.

A Busy Weekend
The German Bundesliga and Italian Serie A commence this weekend giving us a full complement of major Euro leagues to select our bets and trades from.
Our systems have selected a number of games that fit different criteria and we have grouped them as indicated below. Where the games are dependent on in-play events, updates will be given via Twitter. So why don't you take the plunge and click the button to the right of this post to follow our progress.
A little Plan that we had some success with during Euro 2012 is included this weekend. According to our analysis, the two most likely outcomes are given to six matches. These outcomes are then combined in an 8 line betting plan to cover around 87% of the possible 5 folds and just over 12% of the possible 6 folds. For small stakes this gives good coverage and a decent payout.

Soccer Gods are Having a Laugh
At 9:15pm last night every Championship game had goals in it...apart from our three games. Can you believe it?
All was not lost however, as a few minutes later our Lay the Draw selection proved successful when Bolton finally broke the deadlock at the Reebok thus enabling us to get out of the trade with a profit. This subsidised our other bet as, once again, it failed miserably.
So, in summary, that's three out of three for our Lay the Draw selections and nought out of eight for our single / multiple selections. Not the start to the season we were looking for.
We shall persevere and post our Weekend selections tomorrow evening.

Still in the Starting Blocks
Our Lay the Draw selection at the weekend gave us an early goal to take advantage of but the change in price for the draw did not go as high as we would have hoped, so we exitted the trade with only a tiny profit.
The Weekend Multiple was never looking like getting at least a treble up as all four picks failed to fulfill our expectations. Two of the four were doing fine until the final few minutes, then Watford scored two in three minutes to pip Crystal Palace and the same thing happened during injury time in France as Lorient scored twice to defeat Montpellier.
We turn to the Championship for our first foray into the midweek markets and look to the Reebok Stadium to get us a hattrick of successful Lay the Draw selections.
Our data analysis system indicates good value in two of the other matches playing on Tuesday night and advise combining them into a double.

Ifs and buts...
If you followed our Lay the Draw strategy to the letter last weekend then you should have made a winning start when Willem II took a late lead against NAC Breda. This profit was undermined as both of our recommended punts in France went down the pan thereby cancelling out most, if not all, of the profits made on the Dutch game.
This weekend we again turn to the Eredivisie in Holland for our Lay the Draw strategy. Once again, we will be trading this match and exitting when the first goal goes in, hopefully it will come earlier in the game this week.
We start our 'bread and butter' multiple selections this weekend as the English and Spanish leagues commence their seasons. Our system has selected the outcomes of the four matches below as worthwhile entries for low stakes trebles and an accumulator. Bonjour...
To kick off the 2012/13 season we look to the Dutch Eredivisie and the French Ligue 1 to get us off to a flying start.
On Friday evening, Willem II play hosts to NAC Breda and the price for the draw is the lowest amongst the opening fixtures in Holland. Bearing in mind that the Dutch league is one of the highest scoring in Europe and that the profile of this match falls into one of our statistical systems, we shall be Laying the Draw with a view to exitting as soon as the first goal goes in.
Moving on to Saturday and the French Championnat which has been relatively low scoring in recent seasons which is reflected in prices on the Under 2.5 goals market.
The first game that stands out amongst the opening fixtures is Evian vs Bordeaux. Up until last weekend, when they drew 1-1 with St Etienne, the home team lost all their pre-season friendlies without scoring a goal. They now face a Bordeaux team with whom they contested two goalless games last season. This fixture may be decided by a single goal, possibly in favour of the visitors
The second game that we will be following is Rennes vs Olympique Lyonnais. The past six fixtures between these teams have finished 1-1 (four times) and 2-1 to Lyon (twice). Last season Rennes failed to score at home on only two occasions which helped them to finish sixth, just two places below Lyon who have an open style of play which often produces goals at both ends.
Stakes will be small at this time of the season until 'form' settles and to gauge how teams begin to perform with the inevitable changes that are brought on by incoming and outgoing players.
